Brandon Ashmore of Mentor downloads Apple’s 50 billionth app, wins $10,000 app store gift card

A man from Mentor won a $10,000 gift card from Apple for downloading the 50 billionth app.

Apple announced Thursday that Brandon Ashmore downloaded an iOS app that marked the company’s milestone. The app, “Say the Same Thing by Space Inch, LLC,” is a free app in the Apple App Store.

Apple today announced that customers have downloaded over 50 billion apps from the revolutionary App Store. Customers are downloading more than 800 apps per second at a rate of over two billion apps per month on the App Store.
